Thank you for your interest in our service. Our primary customers are pre-employment and tenant screening companies to whom we provide our immediate and affordable criminal background screening services. We offer the capability of conducting instant criminal background checks on any individual by easily accessing our public record databases via the Internet.

The hallmarks of our business are;

Beyond providing access to our data, CRIS, INC. works with its customers to support their understanding of it and the achievement of their purposes in using it. Customers are invoiced during the first week of the following month with a report of all names checked during the month.

Our current databases are acquired from federal, state and county agencies, and one international law enforcement organization.

We present this information via our Internet Website (www.criminalinfo.com), or by direct call to 800-973-5500 (outside of the Portland service area) or (503) 591-1355 (inside the Portland service area). You can also fax requests to us at (503) 642-7730 or email us at cris.inc@comcast.net. We are available to answer any questions you may have regarding our services and look forward to helping you with your criminal background screening information needs.

INTERNET ACCESS -

Access to our data is most convenient and economical through our Internet Website, as noted, below. Please visit our Internet Website at www.criminalinfo.com, to register for our service.

DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS/PUBLIC SAFETY (DOC) RECORDS: By acquiring, and updating, conviction history data from state repositories CRIS maintains a fresh source of state data for determining if a person has been convicted of either a misdemeanor or felony, and was then sentenced to the custody (probation, prison or parole) of a state or county corrections agency. This data also includes those offenders who were convicted in other states, then transferred to another state, pursuant to the Interstate Compact Agreement. This search may be combined with other search options and is part of our Super Search.

STATE COURT (AOC) RECORDS: Criminal court data, updated at its earliest availability, is obtained from State and County Judicial Departments. Access to this data is simple. The rate system charges a customer for one name or case number entered for the search (at the rates below) but to then have access to all data in the system under that name or case number for no further charge. There are no record printing charges. Multiple state searches are possible in this search option. This search may be combined with other search options and is part of our Super Search.

OREGON JUDICIAL INFORMATION NETWORK: Oregon provides a comprehensive database of all criminal and civil records. While Oregon criminal court records are found in the “State Court (AOC) Records” search (above), the complete database is available for more specialized researchers such as attorneys and others interested in civil records. Searches may be done using case number, by county or name of a party in a case.

WASHINGTON ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE OF THE COURTS: Washington also provides a comprehensive database of all criminal and civil records. Like Oregon, Washington criminal court records are found in the “State Court (AOC) Records” search (above). The complete criminal and civil database is available for more specialized researchers such as attorneys and others interested in civil records. Searches may be done using case number, by county or name of a party in a case.

COLORADO COURT RECORDS: Criminal court data is obtained from all County courts. Access to this data is through a separate search option, rather than the state or county court options, due to its cost. The rate system charges a customer for one name search (at the rates below) but allows access to all data in the system under that name. There are no record printing charges. Multiple state searches are not possible in this search option. This search may not be combined with other search options.

COUNTY CRIMINAL COURT (CCO) RECORDS: Where state court administration data is not available, or needs to be supplemented, we obtain data from county courts. This is an area where we will be adding more databases as we are able. We currently have such databases from the states and counties in the chart below. Multiple county searches (from one state at a time) are possible but multiple state searches are not. This search is automatically included in the Super Search.

COUNTY SHERIFF ARREST (CSO) RECORDS: These records are obtained from counties and are updated each month. This is the fastest growing category of data currently available so the chart below will be obsolete as it is being compiled. IT SHOULD BE POINTED OUT THAT ARREST RECORDS ARE NOT CONVICTION RECORDS AND SHOULD BE USED ONLY TO BE AWARE OF A PENDING BUT UNRESOLVED MATTER. These records are automatically part of our Super Search.

COUNTY SHERIFF WARRANT (CWO) RECORDS: These records are obtained from counties and are updated each month. IT SHOULD BE POINTED OUT THAT WARRANT RECORDS ARE NOT CONVICTION RECORDS AND SHOULD BE USED ONLY TO BE AWARE OF A PENDING BUT UNRESOLVED MATTER. Matching records found in these databases may or may not currently have a warrant against the person in question, but rather show a history of warrant records over time. These records are automatically part of our Super Search.

STATE/COUNTY FUGITIVE (CFO) RECORDS: These records are obtained from counties and are several times each month. Matching records found in these databases may or may not currently have a fugitive status for the person in question, but rather show a history of fugitive records over time. These records are automatically part of our Super Search.

REGISTERED SEX OFFENDER (RSO) RECORDS: Registered sex offender data, updated monthly, is obtained from various state law enforcement or judicial agencies. Access to this data is simple. The rate system charges a customer for one name entered for the search (at the rates below) but to then have access to all data in the system under that name for no further charge. There are no record printing charges. Multiple state searches are possible in this search option. This search may be combined with the other search options and is part of our Super Search.

INTERNATIONAL AND NATIONAL RECORDS: As more public record data becomes available, International and National databases, are becoming available. Updated monthly, this data is obtained from international and national data sources. Access to this data is simple. Because these records include many foreign names, which aren’t suited to search systems based on English name conventions, we have instituted a search which ensures that any record concerning the subject will be found, if any part of the last name parameter is entered. The rate system charges a customer for the name entered for the search (at the rates below) but to then have access to all data in the system under that name for no further charge. There are no record printing charges. This search may not be combined with the other search options, but is automatically part of our Super Search. Volume users can do this search without charge.

NATIONAL EVICTION RECORDS: Eviction related (Forcible Entry and Detainer, etc.) records are obtained from courts in 38 states. Most records include plaintiff and defendant information, address, file date, cause number, court information, county information and judgment. This search requires subject’s name, date of birth and social security number.

SOCIAL SECURITY VERIFICATION: CRIS has added the capability for customers to check the validity of SSNs while also doing criminal and/or eviction history searches. As a stand alone report CRIS’ Identity/Residential Location History (IRV) report lists names, addresses, sometimes dates of birth, sometimes phone numbers associated with use of the provided SSN.

CRIS RATES

CRIS RATE STRUCTURE: CRIS rate structure is based on four factors; 1) the number of data types searched (i.e., DOC, AOC, RSO, CCO, CSO, CFO, CWO and INTL), 2) the number of states chosen for each search type, 3) the number of names searched and 4) whether the search is by Internet access or off line, having us do the search for you. The following rate charts provide different options for searches and rates. Discounts are given for multiple data types used, multiple states searched and higher name volume (in a monthly billing period). During the month, customer usage is captured in our system and a report of that usage is provided with our invoice. High monthly volume customers (500 + per month) should contact us to determine if even better rates are available.

INTERNET SEARCH RATES
Note There is a minimum monthly fee of $25 for registered, commercial, On-Line customers which is offset by their monthly usage. Usage which totals less than $25 will result in the minimum fee being invoiced.
